Lil River

Meet Lil River, a stunning dark bay (almost black) 2020 gelding with movie-star looks and a big presence. Though his racing career was brief, this striking young horse has loads of potential waiting to be unlocked by the right person.

River is sound for flat work and would thrive with an experienced horseperson ready to dedicate time, patience, and consistency — he’s truly a project with heart. After about 100 post-track rides and a few setbacks, he’s now back in training and progressing slowly and correctly.

He’s sensitive, intelligent, and eager to please once he builds trust. The ideal adopter will appreciate his brilliance and enjoy the reward of bringing out his best through thoughtful, steady work.
